As I started writing here it occurred to me that while I was trying to find a "beginning" for this garden, I realized this is actually a "continuation"...of my life.  All of the ghosts of my past have been comfortably tucked away and I now keep company with the kind and friendly ghost of the future.

This garden will be a chronicle of my transition to and through grandmother-hood, and it is dedicated to my soon-to-be born grandson, Kevin Anthony.  I want to be sure that Kevin will always know how much he is loved by his Yiyiá.  I want his mom and dad to know how very special they are and how special being a Yiyiá is for me.  Kevin is due to make his entry into this world some time in late January of the year 2000.

Wow!  A new decade, a new century, a new Millenium, a new member of our family.  This woman will definitely be celebrating on a grand scale.
