Flipped-Over Papers

I confess I got bored and wanted to work with something different, namely rice paper.  But since I didn't have any I tried using a sheet of fabric softener (I won't name names).

So, you want to know how I did the first 2 tiles?  Well, even if you don't, I'm going to tell you *g*.  I placed a sheet of fabric softener on my scanner (after I washed it thoroughly in warm water and let it completely dry) .  Then I dropped a sheet of black construction paper over it and scanned away.  Of course, trying to come up with a seamless tile was giving me fits, so I studied the pattern and then - duhhh - a light went on.  I saw why there was nooo way I could make it seamless unless all the out-sides matched up.

Next step - I set up a blank tile double the size of the original tile.  Then I mirrored and I "flipped" and put all 4 pieces together resulting in one new tile which fit seamlessly....taaa daaa.  I was having so much fun, I forgot to get to bed at a decent hour so I paid dearly the next day at the office....but, who cares!
