Welcome

So, you couldn't resist passing through those beautiful gates to explore these gardens.  That shows you have a sense of adventure, or you're just plain curious!  It is hoped that you find your visit worthwhile.

Several times over these many years, it has been suggested that she write a book  about her life. Since she doesn't see herself as a writer, she never gave it much thought until she began learning how to design web pages. Then was planted the seed of an idea. She looked back at the path she has traveled and began to see her life as a series of gardens connected by this path we call "life", one garden leading to another. The seed was nurtured, and these gardens came into bloom.  As with all gardens, you will find beauty and you will find weeds.  Without the weeds, you can't appreciate the beauty.

There were moments when she struggled with the words, wanting to convey her innermost thoughts and feelings about the twists and turns her life has taken, to have it all make some sense to the reader.  Part of that struggle was reliving times that she would rather forget.  But, in that reliving she has experienced a kind of catharsis and now feels she has closure and peace.

It is important to her that through these gardens she might bring some comfort or solace or validation to others who have shared one or more of her experiences.  The composing of these gardens was an exercise in freedom, thus freeing.  This is her history.  This is her legacy.  She has done her best.

When you leave here, you might take with you smiles, tears, shock, anger, understanding, hope, boredom...those reactions and emotions belong to you, the visitor. These pages belong to the author. Many of the graphics are special gifts or were made by the author, or the author received permission to use, so please be respectful and don't take them with you.  Thank you for your honor.

You will notice that there are no counters in these gardens. Since this is a deeply personal site, she is more interested in having the personal contact than in how many numbers came through those gates, so you will find her guestbook linked by one of the flowers in her Gazebo.

If graphics credit is not given where it is due, please contact the author so she can correct the oversight.  In some cases, the credit link was removed because that particular designer no longer has a web site or the author was not able to locate the new address.

All of the music was previewed using an AWE64 sound card, which has the capability of producing full orchestral sounds, so it is hoped that your listening experience will be even near that of the author's.  Don't be concerned if you enter a garden that is silent, for that is appropriate to the garden.

Please read the following lines carefully. At the end of each garden you will find an image near the bottom center of each page that will carry you to the next garden.  If you place your pointer over the image, you will be able to see your next destination.  There are some gardens where the author feels you may need a respite so you will find a gold butterfly that will take you to her Gazebo.

Because this is a narrative, much like a book, some pages may turn a bit slowly due to larger graphic files being loaded.  These pages turn on the average of less than 1 minute; your patience will be rewarded.
