The purpose of this Co-op is to provide you with image resources that are for you to use in a NON-Commercial context.  Definition of "Commercial" should be provided at the individual galleries.

This concept came about as a result of  a discussion among web graphic designers expressing concerns over the issues of what is truly copyright free, what is truly safe to use, and the growing need to have the freedom from worry about copyright violations.

Please understand that participating in Designer's Co-op does NOT require "membership".  The designers who are offering their stuff are not "members"; they are participants/contributors.

The offerings you will find at the hosting galleries will be generously made available for your PERSONAL use.  By participating in this project, contributors have a clear understanding that their offerings must be completely free of incorporated images that are designed by other artists.

This web site is a "virtual" grab-bag of links to galleries that are offering PERSONAL photographs, doodles, scans of personal items (needlework, carpeting, plant materials, household objects, fruits/veggies - people have scanned some really crazy stuff).  You could even find shapes and objects in grey scale to be colorized by you...the possibilities are endless.  All of the images these designers are offering will be available to you to chop, crop, push, smudge, deform, tube, colorize,  and incorporate into whatever your imagination can come up with.  You will not be asked to give credit; the end result of your work will belong to you.  However, you must clearly understand that the original images being offered ARE copyrighted and it is in your own best interest to educate yourself about copyright law; that is why the link button, (near the bottom of this page) "What Is Copyright", is being provided.

The listings you will find on the RESOURCE page will not be categorized at this point in time.  However, for your convenience, they will be alphabetized by gallery name.

By making these offerings, it is our hope to generate more creativity, eliminate the fear of copyright violations, and promote the concept of sharing and good fellowship.

Most of you have all the tools necessary to take an ordinary photograph, or a doodle and turn it into an image of beauty, amusement or practicality.  PSP can do all of that for you, so go exploring, "right click" and save, and fire up your PSP or your graphic program of choice and challenge yourselves.

If you find an offering that pleases you and you use it, it would be courteous to email a brief expression of appreciation to the gallery's owner (hint).

This project is based on the HONOR system.  If you wish to contribute, you will be taken at your word that your offerings are your own original images.

LLD'zines reserves the right to decline to link to any gallery/web site, and/or site owner who is a member of any group, that  offers questionable images and/or publishes content that is pornographic, partcipates in public slander or promotes violence, hate, bigotry and/or racism.
