Maintaining the Candles for the past 6 years has been a humbling and inspiring experience but now it's time for me to move on.

In November of 2002, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Today, June 15, 2003, I am considered healthy and cancer free.  As a result of this experience, my focus has shifted towards breast cancer issues and in marketing a new symbol for breast cancer survivors.  This design is available on a very attractive cloissone lapel pin (see life-size photo below).  I have also opened an online store offering t-shirts, totes, mugs, mousepads and a whole lot more.  All of the designs are focused on breast cancer.  Because this endeavor is now taking up a lot of my time, I find it necessary to discontinue taking candle requests.  The Candles Memorial site will remain online until such time that it attracts few or no visitors..
