A new millenium

Red Ribbon

For those of you who are returning, this new setting may be a bit of a surprise; hopefully, not an unpleasant one.  The setting you've been familiar with still exists but, because we are entering a new decade as well as a new millenium, this seemed an appropriate time to make a change.

If this is your first visit, you will soon see what I'm referring to and I encourage you to visit Here so that you will know how and why this special place was conceived.  You will also find the information you need to submit a request if that's what you wish to do.

From the time this place of remembering first came into being, I have received many requests to place a rose as well as a candle for the person being honored.  For technical reasons, I had to make the difficult decision to not honor those requests.  Perhaps this new setting will be a satisfactory compromise.

A brief word about the maintenance of this place:  I have taken short-term steps to ensure that, barring some catastrophe, this site will continue to be maintained by two very gifted and willing designers.  For the long-term, I am seeking a corporate sponsor who would be willing to commit to supporting and maintaining this site for...well, for however long.  As you all realize, we are not guaranteed a tomorrow.  So, take what you need from here and hold it close to your heart and if it's at all possible, try to give something back.

To those of you who showed your trust by sharing your stories, your tears and your hearts with me, I consider that a privilege and a cherished gift.  Thank you.
